This homemade avocado oil mayo is very quick and easy to make and is made with healthy oil and other everyday ingredients.
Buying mayonnaise made with healthy oil can be very expensive. Even when you think you’re buying the healthy version, oftentimes a look at the ingredient list shows that it still has the unhealthy oils in it. Thankfully, homemade mayo is very easy to make with ingredients you most likely have on hand and takes less than five minutes to whip up.
Ingredients in Homemade Avocado Oil Mayo
- Avocado oil (you can make this recipe with olive oil as well but we prefer avocado oil)
- Apple cider vinegar
- Lemon juice
- Dijon mustard
Place all the ingredients in a pint-sized mason jar. Using an immersion blender, blend for a few seconds until it is all creamy and looks like mayonnaise.
And that’s it! It really is that simple and easy to have a healthy mayonnaise recipe ready to use on your sandwich or in your favorite salad dressing. Place the mayonnaise in a jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Homemade Mayo with Avocado Oil
This homemade mayo recipe is a great way to enjoy healthy mayo without buying the expensive mayo at the store!
- 1 cup avocado oil
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- In a pint-size mason jar, pour in the avocado oil.
- Add in all the other ingredients.
- Using an immersion blender, blend the ingredients until it becomes mayo.
- Enjoy on your sandwiches or use when making salad dressings!
Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
You can make this recipe with olive oil if you prefer.
